Collaborative Research and Training Programme

Collaborative Research and Training Programme

The Le Studium Collaborative Research & Training Programme (CRT Programme) aims to strengthen international scientific collaboration and research capacity in the Centre-Val de Loire region by supporting collective, project-driven initiatives led by researchers based in the region. Open to all scientific disciplines, it provides a framework for developing structured international partnerships, fostering knowledge exchange and building sustainable collaborations between regional research teams and their international partners.

The programme offers two complementary schemes:

  • Le Studium Training Schools, dedicated to advanced scientific training for early-career researchers
  • Le Studium Research Consortia, designed to establish and / or consolidate international research collaborations around shared scientific objectives.

Le Studium Training Schools provide an opportunity to organise high-level international training activities combining advanced scientific knowledge, methodologies and practical skills. They bring together early-career researchers, senior scientists and international experts in an interdisciplinary environment that encourages scientific exchange, networking and the emergence of new collaborative research initiatives.

Le Studium Research Consortia support sustained or new interactions between complementary research teams and international partners through a flexible framework of meetings and joint activities. They aim to generate tangible scientific outcomes, such as joint publications, new research directions and / or the preparation of European or international research projects.

Through these two schemes, the CRT Programme contributes to strengthen the international visibility and attractiveness of the Centre-Val de Loire research ecosystem. They enhance the integration of regional research teams into international scientific networks, and prepare the ground for long-term partnerships. Particular attention is paid to the scientific quality of the proposed initiatives, the international dimension of the partnerships, and their potential to generate lasting scientific and collaborative outcomes.

Applications are coordinated by researchers affiliated with research-performing organisations or higher education institutions based in the Centre-Val de Loire region and must demonstrate clear added value for the regional research ecosystem. Proposals are assessed through an independent evaluation process based on scientific quality, feasibility, international collaboration and expected impact.

Applications must be completed online on the LE STUDIUM website. Applications submitted by email will not be considered nor evaluated.
