The Orléans Economics Laboratory (LÉO) is a Research Unit of Orléans University / University of Tours and the CNRS (FRE2014) created on January 1, 1996 following the merger of the Orleans Institute of Finance (created in 1974) Center Employment and Production Research (created in 1984). Originally located in Orléans, LEO is the only Economics laboratory in the Center-Val de Loire region. Since January 2013, it is intended to welcome, in addition to colleagues from Orleans, teachers-researchers in economics from the University François Rabelais of Tours (UFRT).
LEO’s research activities combine theoretical developments with empirical applications. They are thematically structured around the three teams of the laboratory whose themes are: Macroeconomics and Finance, Econometrics, International Economics and Sustainable Development.
