Presentation

The International Workshop on Emerging Nanoscale Materials: From Synthesis to Applications  aims to bring together PhD students, early-career researchers, scientists, and academics to exchange knowledge and discuss latest advances in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The workshop will provide a multidisciplinary forum covering the design, synthesis, characterization and applications of innovative nanoscale materials for addressing current technological and societal challenges.

Nanoscale materials have revolutionized multiple fields due to their unique structural, optical, electronic, magnetic, and catalytic properties. Recent developments in nanomaterials such as metal oxide nanoparticles, graphene-based materials, carbon nanotubes, MXenes, quantum dots, and hybrid nanocomposites have opened new opportunities for addressing global challenges in energy, environmental sustainability, healthcare, electronics, and advanced manufacturing.

The scientific program will feature keynote lectures, invited talks, oral and poster presentations, as well as interactive networking sessions aimed at fostering scientific exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration. Particular attention will be given to sustainable nanomaterials, AI-assisted materials design, advanced energy technologies, and next-generation nanostructures for environmental and biomedical applications.

The primary objective of the workshop is to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, foster scientific innovation, and provide young researchers with opportunities to present their work, receive expert feedback, and build professional networks. Through knowledge sharing and scientific exchange, the workshop seeks to bridge the gap between fundamental research and practical applications, contributing to the advancement of sustainable technologies based on emerging nanoscale materials.

Target Audience: doctoral researchers, postdoctoral fellows, early-career scientists, faculty members, and industry professionals interested in nanomaterials and nanotechnology.

Key Topics:

  • Synthesis and fabrication of nanomaterials
  • Advanced characterization and in situ techniques
  • Metal oxide, semiconductor and perovskite nanomaterials
  • Periodic Mesoporous Organosilica (PMOs) nanostructures
  • Nanocomposites and multifunctional hybrid materials
  • Energy conversion and storage applications
  • Photocatalysis and environmental remediation
  • Nanosensors and biomedical applications

The conference venue is unique. Located right next to the Orléans’ cathedral, the episcopal palace of Orléans, built between 1635 and 1641, locally known as the Hôtel Dupanloup, is a classical French building which served until 1905 of residence to the bishops of Orléans.  Since 2014, the renewed palace hosts the International University Center for Research and Le Studium Loire Valley Institute for Advanced Studies.

Participants will be welcomed in this exceptional surrounding, blending Middle Age and Renaissance cultures with modern design and will have the opportunity to discover French cuisine and wines.
