Presentation

Rapid development of stem cell research, tissue-engineering, material sciences and our understanding of cancer biology, particularly within the cancer stem cell-area, provide strong foundations for the development of regenerative medicine. On the other hand, the recognition of cancer as the diseases of stem cells allows for reciprocal knowledge flow between stem cell biology, regenerative medicine and cancer biology. The presentation will provide introductory information about all 4 subjects indicated in the title. Research data, exemplifying the presented topics, and a short film will also be presented. Attendees will also get the opportunity to see an example of electrospun biomaterial in form of a membrane.
