Aylin Hanyaloglu is Professor in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College London, where she has been a Group Leader since 2007 and a Satellite Group Leader at The Francis Crick Institute since 2022. She has served as a member of the Le Studium Scientific Council since 2018. Prof. Hanyaloglu received her BSc in Human Biology from King’s College London, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Endocrinology from the University of Western Australia, undertaking postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research focuses on identifying fundamental mechanisms regulating the activity of the superfamily of cell membrane G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and applying these mechanisms in diverse systems relevant to Women’s Health and nutrient sensing, including developing novel therapeutic targets. Her work is currently funded by Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, Wellcome Trust, and the Medical Research Council.
