Anne Canteaut is a French researcher (Directrice de Recherche) in cryptography, working at Inria in Paris. She is a member of the French Academy of Sciences.
Her work focuses on the analysis of the mathematical properties of the building-blocks in symmetric cryptographic primitives and on their impact on security. She is also the co-designer of several cryptographic primitives.
She has chaired the Inria Evaluation Committee (2019-2023), and the steering committee of the FSE conference (2014-2023). She was awarded the Irène Joliot-Curie prize in 2023.
