Bruno Chaudret is emeritus CNRS Research Director in the LPCNO in Toulouse and member of the French “Académie des Sciences” and of “Academia Europae”.  He is a chemist and developed an organometallic method for the synthesis of metal or metal oxide nanoparticles of controlled size and shape and studied their properties in various domains, catalysis, magnetism, micro- and nanoelectronics. The main present interest of Bruno Chaudret concerns the use of magnetic induction in catalysis both heterogeneous and in solution. He is co-author of over 500 publications and 30 patents. He received several prizes including Silver Medal of CNRS, Miguel Catalan (RSQ, Spain), Wilkinson (RSC, UK), Pierre Sue (SCF, France), Gay-Lussac-Humboldt (Humboldt foundation, Germany), Wittig-Grignard (DCH, Germany) and Paolo Chini (SCI, Italy).
