Condensed matter physics meets relativistic quantum field theory

This mini-workshop will focus on applications of relativistic quantum field theories to physics of Dirac and Weyl semimetals, graphene, fermionic superfluids, quark - gluon plasma, and anomalous transport effects. The general idea of the mini-workshop is to gather physicists actively working on these subjects in the broad ranges from condensed matter physics and field theory to lattice gauge theory and string theory and to provide participatns with an informal environment to encourage mutually beneficial interactions.

The workshop is  organized by Le Studium Loire Valley Institute of Advanced Studies, Laboratory of Mathematical and Theoretical Physics of the University François-Rabelais of Tours.

It will take place in the city of Tours, France, one of the picturesque cities of the Loire Valley.

CONVENORS

The workshop is a part of a senior one-year fellowship awarded to Dr. Mikhail Zubkov (ITEP, Russia) and funded by LE STUDIUM Loire Valley Institute of Advanced Studies, France. The host is a CNRS researcher Maxim Chernodub working at Laboratory of Mathematical and Theoretical Physics, University François-Rabelais of Tours, France.
